99 & converted diffrence
 

sup all forum members i realy need any help here
i need all to post (close detailed) pic of jdm99&converted like what diffrence's and what to look for becuase i got a set on ebay from japan and then i
sold them to anuther forum member and they turn out to be converted(painted) ive seen photo's of converted
lights when i wanted to try and do it myself but decide on buying oem's that turned out fake i have no resan to disbeleave fellow member i sent them to see how all the runing around he did to get them so they got to be fake so any help will be great pics'pics,pics please

I'm not sure if there is any serial numbers you can check, but you might try referencing the part numbers from www.mazdamotorsports.com. You can also tell if you look carefully, try to look for anything that looks like the lights have been tampered with. Check for pry marks, paint flaws, etc.

It would be pretty hard to tell from the photo. If you must buy one over the internet, look closely at the back side for pry marks. Typically, the real 99 will have less diffused light around the circles when lit. This would be hard to tell based without seeing it in person though.
