93 vs. 95 Intake Manifold

I have a 95 R2, but recently got a 93 intake manifold from the junk yard so I can continue to drive my 95 while having it polished and ported, and then just switch the intake manifold when its polished. I was curious to see if there are an differences between the intake manifolds in those years. And do you think it would be better to polish the 93 and put it on the 95, or put the 93 on the 95 and have the 95 polished and ported and then switch them back later. Thanks

Todd

Anyone. I need some help on this one. I have to say no, because the engine itself isn't different, but there are a few differences between the two models of the cars.

I don't think there is any diffrence, just bolt it on and see, not like it will blow your engine =]

polish the 95 one..i heard somehting b4 abt the 93's have more pitting when it gets polished (little airbuble holes -i think it was TTT when he got mine polished)...barely noticible but hell get the 95 done just incase

I think that I'll have the 93 one done now...and then when I switch them...I'll have the 95 one done too. That way I can sell the 93 one when I'm done.

the 95 lower does not have the egr passages. the 95 us lower intake is the same as the 91-95 jdm one, N3A7

Thanks for the info...but would it be okay if I took the 93 one a put it on my car for a week...and then switched back to the 95 when that one is done? And where the hell can I find the gasket for that?

the 95 doesn't have the pits? i thought it was in all of em cause air bubbles get trapped when the aluminum is cast. those m'fuckers are the most annoying little things i've ever come across, damn i hate those pits

Only CA cars use the EGR passages anyways so switching a NON CA car from a 93 to a 95 Manifold should not be a problem. you may need to put a blanking plate on the 93 to use it on the 95.

Where can I find a "blanking plate"?
