93 RX7 Fuel Pump Relay Switch

Hi everyone, so I've been looking all over the web and my FSM and even found this thread here on how to install a fuel pump switch.

However, obviously the 2nd gen fuel pump relay location is different from my 3rd gen. I have narrowed it down to the front relay box mounted near the radiator / intake box and or a relay on the driver side engine bay side.

I'm super confused. From what I've read the front relay is for speed control of the fuel pump... or something like it. That the actual operational relay is the second one I mentioned above.

I created the switch in the thread listed above for a 2nd gen and would like to adapt it to my 3rd. Where should I begin??? I already completed a vacuum hose replacement on this car too which I feel very accomplished lol.

Any advice everyone? I can't make sense of the FSM and adapting the wiring I don't want to be wrong.

Thanks,
Savicious

bump for insight?

So far I've read enough to figure out that the control relay next to the egi main relay is the same as the 2nd gen relay in the guide. If I figure out which wire is the fuel pump control then I will be able to adapt the guide. Is this right?

...what are you looking to cut power from? directly to the pump or power to the pump relay?...or the ground to the relay?

there are a number of ways you can do it.
