'93 Non-Cali Unlimeted ECU and '93 Cali car

I going to purchase a non-cali Pettit unlimited ECU (93) and I have a '93 Cali, will this work? What if any are the possible problems.

I will eventually move up to a PFC but not until I have enough money to upgrade turbos, maybe street port (when engine goes), injectors, fuel pump, IC, yada-yada-yada... but until then I'll just run with my catback, downpipe, soon-to-be intake (adam_c, cuz I'm a cheap bastard too), and MBC.

Thanks

Victor

i think the car will run with your check engine light on.

I thought that only happened if you used a '93 ECU on a '94+ car?

Thanks for the response scratch!

i thought that cali cars had egr sensors on them. no sensor with cali ecu = cel the other way should be ok. they are both standards right?

I doubt the non-California one will even care. If it's an issue, disconnect the EGR connector (blue).

Code 16 I presume

the only difference should be the egr sensor. disconnect the connector (behind the air pump, blue) and all should be good. i just did a complete cali to non cali engine swap and that was the only difference i could find
