929 master cylinder upgrade problem?
So got around to installing this 929 master cylinder on my reman brake booster and i noticed that once tightened down it would not sit flush. Removed and re tightened and still the same, made sure the 0-ring etc was good. Anybody have any ideas?https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...03df2e33e5.jpg

May need to measure the depth of the hole in the brake booster and measure that end of the brake master. Could also help to compare it to the stock master if you still have it around.
I've never done this process, but I've never heard of anyone running into this problem. It has to be some sort of basic mechanical problem - either that master is too long or it's binding up somewhere. Dale |

I seem to remember a push rod adjustment inside for the brake pedal push rod to the booster. Would adjusting that help here? |

When I installed my 929 master the banjo bolt would not fit flush and leaked. Even using two new washers did not help.
I went to a brake shop and replace the fitting with a normal brake fitting and the problem was solved. |
I finished a 929 brake cylinder upgrade a few months ago. I repainted my old brake booster. From your picture, it looks like your remanufactured booster is warped with the left side bolt area pulled out some and the right side more depressed. This would throw it off and would also change the inner booster rod space. You would need special tool, which I have, to readjust the inner rod to right distance.

I bought mine from a specialty brake supplier a while back and I don't remember the name. Summit Racing sells one that is the same. It is the Baer Brakes Master Cylinder Pushrod Length Gauges. It is a little expensive for a single time use though at around $50.
