7-7-10 Boost Pattern??

I searched long and hard on this one to no avail.
My primary is acting a fool and I can't quite put my finger on it.

I did (4) 3rd gear pulls last night.

Pulls 1 and 3 my boost pattern was 7-7-10
Pulls 2 and 4 my pattern was 10-7-13......spike

Basically it feels like my primary is only boosting properly half of the time.
It will hold dead on at 7psi until the secondary comes online.
The spike will be taken care of this weekend with a WG port and a profec but I am still in the dark as to my primary boosting only when it feels like it.

Any ideas?
I've changed all vaccuum lines and check valves.
Charge control purhaps?

thanks
T

I think DaveW recently wrote about a case that causes lower primary boost... I can't recall what it is now. It shouldn't be hard to search for.

Generally, the charge control and turbo control are common issues. The KOKO test could help find the problem: http://www.fd3s.net/boost_test.html

We'll have to look at a few things, Travis :). It's typically either a boost leak, the butterfly in the Y-pipe not fully sealing or opening early, or the turbo control door acting up.

We can look at a few things tonight, BTW.

hmmm, I'm having the same problem too, If I run the car hard for a while it boosts the same until it cools down, but but for the first while it doesn't seem to stick...

Also, I'll notice it will hit 8 PSI....... but it won't feel like it.... kinda weird, I recently changed two of the couplers and vacuum lines, and did a test for leaks and came up with nothing...
