DO NOT DRIVE!!!!!
I remember what happened last time with your other FD and a snowy MI day!!!! borrow someones car, call a taxi, DO NOT drive the FD. It is really shitty out there man, I know it's bad when I can get my subaru to slide around without to much effort, I couldn't even imagine driving the FD. |
He has two cars an Sti and an FD why in the world would you choose the FD over the Sti in the snow?

Yes, but it snowed the past two days and all the weather reports were calling for HEAVY snow fall today, he must have left for work pretty early because there was already a decent amount of snow on the ground when I left for class today at 9am (I only life 70ish miles away :tonque: ).
My FD is tucked nicely away in the garage, and my impreza is doing snow duty. Hell I had the FD out a week ago after a good rain fall and it was having traction issues then, I couldn't even imagine trying to control it in weather like we have right now . |
Yeah I missed that, remember last summer once it started raining hard and I pressed on the gas a little and a guard rail was comming at me fast.
|
i guess it depends how far away from home you work...if its only a couple/few miles, suck it up, and drive it slow... It is a car you know...
|
Yeah I checked the weather around 6 this morning, looked good, possability of a dusting or whatever, then I saw it snowing a lit bit at 10 and the forecast had changed to tons o' snow deal with it, borrowed a minivan to perform work duties and will drive the 8 miles home very carefully @ 5pm EST... roads are cleaned up pretty well now, just 11-3pm it was pretty rough out
and where the sti's concerned, i spent over 8hrs cleaning/detailing it a few weeks ago and that's going to really piss me off if we continue to get more snow, i thought winter was done |
i dont put my prelude or fd on the road until its done snowing for good and after a good rain fall...get all the salt and $#!t off the road....
got to love 4wd in the winter...(jeep cherokee) brad |

I live in the CHicago area and put my car away every winter and turn the full coverage insurance off. It goes into what my agent calls "storage insurance." I contemplated reinstating the insurance a couple of weeks ago when it was 80 out, but I am glad I didn't given the weather we have had lately.
I'll wait till it gets closer to Memorial Day to reinstate everything like I normally do just to play it safe. Snow in April just plain sucks. Glad to hear you made it home without incident. |
We get snow in april just about every year . Last year was kind of a fluke and we got lucky that the nice weather just stuck but it always gets nice for a few days then gets shitty again. It will start looking up within the next week or two though.

I drive my FD daily for the last 5+ years in Vancouver, British Columbia. This year sucked for snow, but usually we only get like 5 days or so of snow. I take the short bus when it snows.
|
In my area it was really shitty snow too. In my BMW I could spin the tires even in 4th gear just by hitting the gas. [got the wheels to 90mph while only going 40] This also sucks for me because I was supposed to get my RX7 out this weekend but I wont do it with snow on the ground...
This sucks.. |
