5speed, automatic waterpump asemb difference

whats the difference between auto and 5 speed waterpump assembly? visually and physically
can i use a automatic assembly on my 5 speed ? i am under the impression that its about the same but only with an extra sensor for something for the auto tran

and is there a older model vs newer model difference between the assembly design?

thanks

No difference between auto and manual.

You may be thinking of ecu controlled switching of the fans on late cars whereas, on the early cars pre S7, there was a switch controlling that on the back of the pump casting. The other small difference on the pumps was integrated filler necks in the late ones - early cars had 6mm bolts attaching it to the body.

if there isn't any difference. how come there's 2 differnetial part number for the assembly? this one is 15-010D-N3C2 (fits 94~95) don't know why
it an auto waterpump assembly, there's 7 of them brand new in my mazda source but the MT one is NLA

I just want to know the difference. can anyone with a auto FD take a look for me ? thanks.

The auto thermostat cover had an additional temperature sensor in front. You could plug it and use it on a manual car.
