4 years stored, coming back out.
Hey guys,
So I have had my car stored for 4 years, no problems with it just didn't want to hit the 100k miles, currently at 98k. I'd drive it around the block every now and then to keep everything flowing. Anyways, now that its coming back out I had questions on what I should refresh/change. About my car: -95 automatic - Stock mount Greddy IC - Y-pipe - Apexi dual N1 cat-back. - New AST - important gauges water temp/boost/ etc.. - Rest pretty much stock To do list (I have most of these parts stored): - Koyo radiator and separte tranny cooler upgrade - Oil change and other fluids/ brakes/trans etc. - Downpipe - HKS intake - Spark Plugs NGK - Injectors (was told they might be leaky, should stick with stock right??) - Walbro fuel pump (do I need to upgrade it since car is mostly stock??) - Connect Water Temp autometer gauge (stopped working, im guessing it unplugged) O.k. guys so since i'm changing some parts what else should I check/upgrade during this process; to ensure relibability/driveability?? |
Ecu

I hope you didn't leave the same coolant in there for four years, or you can probably add 'change coolant o-rings' to the list.
No offense, but that's the worst excuse I've ever heard for not driving one of these cars. |
Well thats not the only excuse, it was also getting expensive with insurance and going to school and all.
So should I upgrade the fuel pump?
Upgrade your fuel pump and get a tuned ecu.
Have you run the car recently?
Yes I have.
Also, will the fuel pump hurt or help my cause with CA smog test?
Really shouldn't matter.
I did have a power fc but I had a few probs due to the automatic. it would just randomly stall. why do you say get an ecu I'm planning on keeping it mostly stock besides the minor aftermarket parts mentioned above.
I have the banzai pfc wiring for an auto if you need one. add their away auto transmission to the list.
