You FD auto owners (sans handicapped) are absolutely delusional. The auto FD3S has to be the worst implementation of a auto tranny in a sports car. I'm convinced Mazda did it as a hail mary to try and lure some chick buyers (which obviously worked)

Why am I an idiot for the Supra comment? Anyone that would consider buying a Auto FD, would be much better off with a late model Supra, its the perfect GT class auto car. The 3rd gen RX-7 was a purpose built sports car. The fact that Mazda offered an auto in it was IMHO a marketing ploy meant at attracting women buyers.

Your tone about the two options for us automatic owners explicitly implies that your 5-speed can "ass whip" an automatic FD. You got called on it and now are trying to appear that you are the one that is misunderstood. I think we understood you correctly and now some back-pedaling is taking place.

I appreciate the work you did do on automatic FD when you had access to one but could it be ... just possibly... that your automotive needs are not *GASP* the same as everyone else and that the automatic FD fits our purposes PERFECTLY?
