2JZ-GTE in a 3rd gen RX-7
A buddy of mine mentioned that Sound Performance squeezed a 2JZ-GTE (Toyota Supra MKIV engine) into a 3rd gen RX-7. I've always loved the looks of the 3rd gen RX-7's; however, being in AZ, I've heard that summertime reliability (especially on a modified FD3S) can be a nightmare. I also have little experience with the rotary engines and would prefer to stick to something I know.
I like the Supra, but more for it's drive train then it's looks. Does anyone on this list have any information about the SP project of stuffing the 2JZ-GTE into an FD3S? Thanks, Russ |
Please do a Search. We get tired of seeing this question asked every week...

I think i'm selling my car now. I'm tired of being affiliated with a bunch of kids.

Do a search for '2JZ-GTE'. It's not hard. If you can't figure it out, let me know.

We feel that our car is made for a rotary and we don't really care for any other types of motors.
It is very hard to fit the rotary in there which is very small so forget anything else. If you do get it in there the car won't handle and you won't have a rx-7 any more. Who the hell wants a supra engine any way that's a huge downgrade. Learn your stuff and you won't have any problems with overheating or whatever bs you mentioned before. I hate you and your family :ar: haha sorry |
n00bs.. hehe...

Newbies, damn us all. It does help if I'd have looked for that search button in the corner.
Sorry for the wasted space and agrivation this caused all of you. Best of luck with your cars, Russ PS- don't take one person's stupidity so personal ;o) |
