2 pumps is better than 1 / or not

Hi
As i saw from many threads , many people likes to use 2 fuel pumps in stock fuel tank ( for single conversion specialy )
2 walbros , or 2 nippodensos , etc. All these cars seems to run without problems , when all the fuel system works fine .
I would like to know why its necessary to use two pumps , in opposition to use a big one /
Thanks.

One is better as two will be restricted by approximately 15-25%. When running two, you may not know when one fails. Those are the answers I received from my mechanic.

I beleive those guys are in the 500hp range. There may not be a single pump that can handle theor fuel needs.

There certainly are, but they're big, loud, mount externally, and may require a sump to be welded into the tank. People use twin pumps in the tank to keep the noise down while getting the volume of fuel they need.

Propably
its difficult to fit a big pump like Aeromotive 1000 in stock fuel tank !
who knows?

So , 2 pumps in tank is the better choice for single applications , without loud etc !

the aeromotive 1000 is external!

Most people know this, he was saying as a joke that it'd be difficult to load one of those big boys into the fuel tank compared to two smaller ones. lighten up

You need to be making some CRAZY power to run out of options for a single fuel pump, though.

Per Aeromotive there is no problem running it internal ...if you can get it in :)
