1992 vs 1993 Japanese FD

I was wondering what are the mechanical and physical differences of a Japanese 1992 RX7 FD and Japanese 1993 RX7 FD? ... And also if the 1992 JDM RX7 would be equivalent to the 1993 US RX7 given that the RX7 was marketed in America a year after they were in Japan, right?

A 1992 JDM chassis is still a 1992 chassis.

Diffrence = one is LHD and the JAJA land one is RHD

ok. well. i had to ask because i know there are differences in the later year rx7s
there was a Series 6, then Series 7, then finally Series 8 which were the fastest.
So I had to ask.
whether a 1993 RX7 from Japan had any better potential and compatibility with upgrades than the very first 1992 model ...
thanks.

I don't know why, but you have to copy and paste that link for it to be translated.

If you have a choice - DON'T go with a 91-mid 93. Like any production run, the first - in this case, titled 'version I' (of I - VI, 91-02) - is riddled with little issues. It's no surprise that the first cars had the highest number of recalls.

The chassis is the same, the engine block is the same - but many of the bits 'hanging off' are different - wiring, hoses, harnesses, suspension parts, interior panels (version I wear badly)...

I need to learn Japanese...

So the 1992 FD3S has a lot of problems??

Just go to google and then translate the webpage from Japanese to English. This allows you to surf many nice Japanese sites and get a clue what they are talking about.

93 has a different gauge cluster from 92 if I can remember correctly.
