1600 Secondaries

Are there any other manufacturers of large secondary injectors (NEW) not modified ?
Could anyone give me the bosch part number for the 1600cc secondaries, to see if it is possible to source them in the uk?
Regards from England

Go to the Rx7 Store website. Not sure if there part numbers. They are Bosch. Why do you want 1600-cc secondaries? You know you'll ned upgraded fuel rails, and a serious fuel pump...

SECOND THOUGHTS

Just started to realise the implications of 1600 secondaries, maybe the other route of 850 primaries may be worth a go.
Has anyone tried the apexi fuel pump for the skyline R33 yet, Can it be fitted fairly easily?
will the standard fuel pressure reg and fuel lines manage the delivery rate?

FormerPorscheGuy 01-06-03 06:56 PM

We never got the skyline R33 here in the states.

What's wrong with boring out the 850-cc Nippondenso secondaries to 1300-cc, and adding a better fuel pump? You still haven't told us what your plans are? Until you describe what you're trying to do, no one will be of much help?

full exhaust, open air intake, and ecu.... fuel pump/injectors ? when should i opt for an upgrade? after how many more mods and which ones. also what grade spark plugs should i use?

...depends on if you have a large IC core, and what type of fuel computer you have.

...depends on what you have in the first question...

depends on what mods you have...

no other mods besides basic reliability (AST, radiator) just the full exhaust (downpipe, racing cat, and cat-back), the open air intake, and the ecu. sorry for not clarifying

Yeah, Id be kinda interested to know what mods you need to justify some additional injectors, or even bigger ones. Hmmmm....

PLANNED MODS

I've already got a large FMIC running 0.8 Bar and due to very low ambients at the moment injectors are running in th 90's.
I am keen to do mods right first time round so that your eventual goal can be met without having to re-visit area.
Other mods are cat out pipe(3")
Back box 3"
Power Fc
OS Giken twin plate clutch
(as its a 96 it already has the efini Y pipe etc)

I am looking eventually to go single turbo, and am heading towards the Apexi kit which is rated at around 625BHP, but In the mean time would like to fuel to the max of the twin setup. (IRO 360, I am not sure wha boost is required although I am in need of a rolling road tune, or suitable map as I am currently running the power fc base map.

i would like to see a dyno sheet of an Apexi turbo making that power. ;) :)

CHRIS P 01-07-03 07:48 AM

it does exist

With regards to the output, it's not the RB6, which is rated at 400ish, its the AX version, which I have the exact code for at home in a japanese part catalogue their rating is 640ps.
also is a fuel pump delivering 240l/hr sufficient for my requirements?

The local Ramchargers store sells them 4 59.99 a pece.
That's a hell of a deal if you ask me ..

1300-cc secondary injectors, upgraded fuel pump, and an appropriate AFR (air-fuel-ratios) controlled by a good computer can handle 11.6 psi very easily.

Sometimes that doesn't work. The fuel should be adjusted only when necessary, such as a big single. Until that time, you don't need 850-cc primary and 1600-cc secondary injectors.

Ok, I know Apexi Power FC, but don't know the others?

1300-cc secondaries, upgraded fuel pump, 1 Barr (14.5 psi), and proper maps on your Apexi PFC is MORE THAN ADEQUATE. You know you can tune the Power FC up to 1.2 Barr (17.4 psi), don't you?

(IRO 360, I am not sure wha boost is required although I am in need of a rolling road tune, or suitable map as I am currently running the power fc base map.
Definitely need a good wide-band lambda tune. You haven't really tapped the full potential of your current setup, and you're already looking single? Maximize your current setup first.
