13Brew build

Hello all, its been a while since i have been on this page. I am getting back to my project and had a few questions i know someone here will have. I just had a REW engine rebuilt ( stock Port ). I want to realistically make anywhere from 400-500. Anything in that range will be ideal, even if its 401hp.

My question is this: I am looking for the best and most efficient turbo to run for that power goal. This will be a street car for now! I dont have a Chart of the rotary motor to compare with compressor maps for most turbos.

I also want to know what most of you are running fuel wise, not sure if i can get by using 850 primaries, 1600 secondaries and a good in tank pump for that power level. I am also thinking of adding Meth to keep things cool instead of using it to make power.

Thanks you so much in advance!!!!

Borg Warner S362 or EFR 8374 (if you have money)
550/2200 injectors
Supra TT/ Stealth 340 fuel pump
AEM coils or HKS Twin Power (if you can find one)
Bigger intercooler
Better clutch

For now I dont want to spend a bunch since it will take me a while to work out all the bugs. I have a twin power from my old FD i can use. Clutch i have an exeedy stage 2 clutch and for the IC setup, i am making a vmount just have to figure how that will work with AC.

Thanks for the reply!

I always find it funny how people say the IWG EFR lineup is expensive. When you factor in BOV and wastegate costs plus extra fab work for wastegate routing (new, not one off used parts) they're not that much more expensive, the IWG setups do have their flaws though. Either way both of those turbos will work well.

I have always liked the external setups, but since i am a fabricator that extra cost wont be that much. I have all kinds of manterials laying around. You are right about the price diff when you factor in the EWG cost being almost 500, then the plumbing.

Would this one work? I forgot to ask what A/R i should run, also with this turbo. At what PSI would i be making 400ish. I am not sure how to really explain this, but my main goal is to have a turbo that i can make my power goal at the lowest PSI and it is still within the efficiency table. So lets say i have turbo one making 450whp at 30psi, but i am passed he efficiency curve for that turbo i will have more hot air causing the oil and overall engine temps to go up. Then turbo two takes 17psi to make 450whp and its well within the efficiency table thus making that power level without injecting heat into the engine.
