13B removal help/advise needed
 

On page c-15 of the factory service manual it says to remove the fuse box, does this mean just unbolt it and let it hang for clearance?(I am not seeing a reason other than getting it out of the way so it doesn't get hit) or something else? On page c-17 it shows removing a wiring harness including the alternator connections, is removing all the body connections and laying the harness over the engine what they have in mind? (I don't see the reason for disconnecting the alt. ) I hope I am not missing something. Where are the engine oil cooler connectors? (I haven't run the lines down yet)

You don't need to remove the fuse box.

The wiring harness that contains the alternator plugs is on the passenger side wire harness. You can just unplug everything and remove the harness completely from the engine bay or disconnect it at the driver-side wheel well if you just want to leave everything connected to the motor and pull it that way. Then, yes you could just lay the harness over the motor.

As for the engine oil cooler connectors, there is one at the front cover to the right of the main pulley (Big Banjo bolt) and one at the bottom of the oil filter pedestal (Another big banjo bolt)

I just yanked out the engine and tranny (auto) from my FD. I followed the show manual and unbolted / unclipped the side fuse box so I could get it out of the way. It helped me a lot because I was able to drag that wiring harness completely out of the way when I hoisted the engine.
