k, 13b REW is official 3rd gen motor, how would a "Complete Cosmo 13B-RE Twin Turbo Motor" drop in? Any jacking around? into a 93 5speed touring, that is. thanks

I heard it won't fit due to being to wide. I don't really know for sure, just something I picked up somewhere.

The engine is not a direct drop in, the twin turbos are suppose to be the same but the exhaust manifold is different. The ports on the cosmo 13b has bigger intake ports, i'm not sure about the exhaust port. K2RD makes a kit to drop the cosmo 13b into a fc.

Definitely not a bolt in operation. I have been trying to research this same topic for about two months.

The motor mounts on the 13BT-REW are bolted to the bottom of the end plate, the Cosmo 13B-RE are mounted to the side of the middle plate. The motor mounts appear very close to the 2nd generation motor mounts.

Intake is about 20% larger on the 13B-RE but the exhaust port insert is smaller.

Cosmo turbos are smaller due to all of them being Automatic vehicles. Hitachi 10's instead of 12's.

Exhaust bolt up is supposed to be identical, but not confirmed.

Tranny will bolt up the same as an Automatic motor 13BT-REW.

I have seen the Cosmo engine called 13B-TT, 13B-REW, and 13B-RE. They are about 230 Hp, not 255 or 280 due mainly to the smaller turbos.

Hope this helps.
