12v switched power

I am looking for various places to tap in mutiple gauges and boost control for power. Hopping if anybody has pics or diagram that can show where in the cab and engine bay that i can tap in to. I need to hook up al least five and do not want to overload one branch for example the stereo harness. Thanks

The fuse box near the clutch pedal has 2 empty spade connectors above the black cover. You will probably want to use a standard 4 wire relay if you are powering 5 things, this will protect you from overload. The spade above the black cover will be the trigger for your relay, run a fused 12v wire from the battery to the relay. The other 2 wires on the relay will be ground and 12v out. Here is a link with a diagram. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/faq-...w-wire-up.html You can buy the relay and a plug in harness at most auto supply stores.

You can buy the fuses with the add-on tab allowing you to tap both switched and unswitched power. These work fine along with a fused connection.

Resurrecting this to ask a question since electrical is not in my wheelhouse:

I have several accessories to run off of switched power in the empty spade outlets above the interior fuse box like a boost controller, 3 gauges, wideband controller box, and a auto dimming mirror. What's a better way to run this wiring as opposed to having 5-6 wires tapping into a single spade connector in the outlet?

Fuse Block
Chronus

Write-up from a battery relocation, should explain everything.
But 3 gauges are all probably less then 5 amps.
Your wideband maybe 10amps
Mirror probably less then 3amps.
The fuse block is nice but probably overkill for you.

Thanks for the link. I'd like to keep it organized similarly, even if it is overkill. Is there anything wrong with running this many accessories to a single spade outlet?

I absolutely hate dealing with electrical stuff, but how about something like this? You'd just have to change the lead on the power supply wire to a female spade going to the switched power. And if needed, solder a little longer wire to mount it where you want. But then each of those components would be separately fused.

Thanks for the suggestion! I ended up getting a similar one, a 10 terminal fuse block that comes with LEDs that blink when a fuse is blown. I just wanted to clean it up a little and this does the job.

so with the fuse block this would go + post to circuit breaker, to relay 87, relay 86 to switched connection, 30 to fuse block, 85 to ground. Then accessory to fuse, and all accessories on block on same ground or bus?
