actually i think i my friend and i priced it out as being able to do a dual setup with all the lines for right around 500... course we are doing all the labor......

no...cause my warranty company will not do my turbos and radiator and oil pan gasket UNLESS I do the cooler lines(supposedly 3 lines TOTAL) and they(MAZDA DEALER) are charging me 1900 for the lines and labor.

Get the lines and replace it yourself, keep all documentation...

thats what I told the dealer and warranty company...and they said NO. cause everything has to be on the dealers INVOICE.

Something isn't right with this. I would definitly dig into why all this needs to be done and possibly find another rotary mechanic to review. The warranty company should allow you to go to any number of certified mechanics.

buy the lines for the oil cooler from the deal, and install it yourself... Tell the warranty company that they included the install labor with the other labor charges :D

find a 'friend' at the dealer. $150 < $1900.

I know I can buy the lines at dealer price but they said no..I might have to call them today after work...and see if I can take it in to a diff shop..but i dont think they will let me. :(

An upgraded Oil cooler with Steel braided lines and Earl's fittings (even the expensive 18X1.5mm to -10AN adaptors for the front cover and oil filter redestal AND the ones for the cooler cost a third of that... :)

You may be right about the price from the dealer.. They are so damn expensive.. Maybe try Malloy? I don't have the number off hand..

When you call the warranty company, please ask them if you are able to bring to car elsewhere that is certified. I think I used to see that they require you (customers) to get the car fixed at certified shops, but why only dealers?????????

Call Ray @ Malloy Mazda (his # can be found on the forum) and ask him what is the retail for those hoses and also ask him what Mazda charges for labor on that job. All Mazda dealers should be going by the SAE book on how many hours they are supposed to charge for a particular job.

Sounds to me like the dealer is trying to take advantage of you but I'm sure Ray will what its worth.

sounds fishy, have you actually talked to the warentee company? Or is the dealership speaking for them. If so, they are tyring to scam you.
