Suspension locked up after rebuild

Hey Everybody

I have been going through the suspension on my FD. I just finished putting the rear together. I have replaced every bushing there is and put in Ohlin Coil-overs. I checked the torque specs, (Cant find them all but I know their not over tight). Everything looks to be in line. Here is the issue and maybe it isn't one. It seems really stiff. I couldn't move the suspension with the wheel off. I torqued the bolts after i put weight on the wheels. It only settled one inch when I loaded it. I can't get it to bounce either. Its like it is locked up. Anybody run into this?

Drive it and see how it rides. Maybe soften the dampening up a bit.

maybe they just need to be worn in.

somewhat relative: when i replaced the wheel bearing on my civic, it took a lot of force to get the wheel to spin by hand. after driving a few hundred miles, its as easy to spin by hand as it should be. i was worried at first thinking i did something wrong or something was just wrong somewhere. turns, it just needed to be worn in.

i say drive around, put some miles on the new bushings and see what happens.

That would not be surprising since usually there is some amount of spring preload in full rebound... Otherwise the springs would rattle around with the car off the ground.

Did you by chance use Poly bushings in the rear? Especially the toe links?

If so, it is locked up with binding.

It is a crime that it is ok for the companies to sell those bushings.

If not, good. :icon_tup:
