Rear bumper heat shield

Does any one make a rear bumper heat Sheild for the FD out of carbon or Kevlar?

Found a couple on both Amazon and Ebay made out of carbon. Nothing comes to mind from a known retailer though.

Cut and Paste

How about cutting to size from a sheet of metalized gasket material?

KSP Attain made one that I know of.

I'm skeptical of these. I have seen a track-only FD, with Apexi N1 type exhaust, that hasn't burned-up its rear bumper. It has soot on the back, but that soot covers more area than one of those small bumper cover "protectors." The bomber cover wasn't warped, either.
Waste of money, IMO. Throw a good couple of coats of wax back there, and remember to clean your car after your track/street session, and all should be good.

Blacktie motors sells them.

Depending on your tune, and how often you're belching fire, they are absolutely useful!!

I ended up burning completely through my paint when I was stationed in the UK (hindsight indicating this was wholly due to an EXCESSIVELY over-rich tune..). I needed to get one in order to both preserve my bumper and also hide the ugly burned patch  Unfortunately I can't remember where I picked up my CF shield though, as that was about 10 years ago :(

I went with a down-turned tip after I had my car repainted, and moved on to a 4" 1-off exhaust.

^ Correct. My last tune had flames shooting out about 4 feet or so and it burnt my bumper so I installed the RHDJapan carbon cover. Very high quality piece and looks great IMO. Here is a shot of it:

I riveted it on and will most likely replace the aluminum rivets with black ones.

Also, I had a muffler shop extend my muffler about one inch and I set fuel decal cut on so I am now much less likely to have an issue.
