Ray Crowe is back in action and taking orders!!

Understand Malloy is no longer, so being an FC guy, original owner S5 TII, just thought I'd post
over here that I've used Tascsa Parts for the last year or so, less expensive than Malloy and fast
shipping of OEM parts.
They don't list all the small items, but I use the Mazda on line parts catalog, retrieve the part number,
place it into the Tasca site, then after the part appears, place it in the cart.

Not affiliated in any way to the above, just though I'd give another outlet for parts.

Dang I didn't even realize Malloy is no longer. Bummer.

Thanks for the heads up on what you use.

ZE Power MX6 12-01-15 05:18 PM

Damn I just ordered some stuff from ray last month, guess that would be the last.

RedBaronII 12-01-15 05:22 PM

Very sad to hear about Malloy.
I have used multiple times with great success and also slightly cheaper than Malloy, Mazda-Parts.com.
They have the same OEM parts catalog and uses original parts number for search.
They ship for $12.95 most things and have great communication.
I not affiliated, don't have any vested interest or will receive any monetary compensation by providing this info.

Don't sweat it guys, I've known about this for some time--- it wasn't a surprise to Ray.

He's keeping in touch with me and I'll keep everyone updated.

I can't say much right now, but we have nothing to be worried about :) :icon_tup:

I've also used them too, no problems.

Good to hear . Was just about to say I hope Ray lands on his feet... Regardless if he's a source for Mazda parts .

I found out when I stopped by there a few weeks ago, I'm
glad I was able to get my order in with Ray at that time!
I'm looking forward to how things are worked out!

JZW 12-01-15 07:21 PM

Thanks for posting this, I was looking for him recently.

Spalato 12-01-15 08:54 PM

Malloy might be gone...but Ray...Ray will never leave us! We need him and he needs us, it keeps the universe in balance.

mannykiller 12-02-15 03:00 AM

damn sucks to hear that...but At least ray is still around. Definitely helped out our community

tiger18 12-02-15 05:19 AM

Im international and placed over a dozen orders with Ray,, brilliant service ,so is malloy defo no more?

DaleClark 12-02-15 08:13 AM

Sounds like Ray will be OK. Googling around, it looks like that dealership just up and closed. Is that the case?

I got my last order from Ray last week!

The contract Malloy had with Mazda expired. Don't worry, Ray will be able to supply parts once he has a new contract with another dealership or another avenue.

Malloy Automall (Mazda was just one of their dealerships) is still around. I called them after getting home last night and the lady confirmed that Malloy Mazda was no more.

Apparently Ray is still in and doing parts stuff though, I don't know if he's just there to sell off remaining stock, or of they can/will still order stuff.

I was driving back north on Black Friday and took a detour past Malloy Mazda (95 was at a stand still, go figure, and Rt. 1 was open) and was surprised to see that the location was empty of cars. HOWEVER, the parking lot was also getting repaved, which is a REALLY GOOD thing!! The pavement in that lot was royally fucked

Hopefully its just a temporary close for upgrades, its pretty common to see the "Malloy" license plate holders around here, so I don't think they're hurting in sales too badly..

ptrhahn 12-02-15 09:36 AM

There's a Mazda dealer just 1 mile from my house (that I never go to) that Ray could relocate to. Then I'd go there.

7krayziboi 12-02-15 03:56 PM

Ohh no :(

GoodfellaFD3S 12-02-15 05:04 PM

I tried to get Raymundo to come up north to NJ but it's a tough sell

VTECthis 12-03-15 09:42 AM

Hopefully he comes to Maryland. Post any info ASAP, I need some parts, lol.

IRPerformance 12-03-15 11:17 AM

FYI both Atkins and Mazdatrix have a pretty good stock of FD parts. Prices aren't as good as Ray's but at least there are options in the meantime.

darksereniti 12-05-15 05:34 PM

quirkparts

Quirkparts.com seems to be about the same price as Malloy's when I compared the

parts I bought from Malloy to Quirkparts.com's price

GoodfellaFD3S 12-05-15 06:04 PM

Keep in mind you're getting much more from Ray than just cheap parts guys.

Not pointing this at any one person in particular, but allow me to get up on my Soapbox:

It seems like in today's day and age, all that many people care about is 'Low Price.' They don't care about service, knowledge, dependability, quickness of delivery, establishing a relationship with a trusted advisor. To me this is all very valuable.

I think personally that 'Low Price' as the Number 1 buying decision is dangerous. I've had many people over the years come to me for all sorts of advice regarding mods and parts, then buy elsewhere in order to save a buck. To me, that is complete horseshit, and I've changed the way I deal with people accordingly. I value my time very much, and have learned not to waste it on those who don't value my time as much as I do.

Case in point, I've seen Tasca advertising No Longer Available parts one ebay so I decided to give them a try.

First part (a large interior part), they sent me THREE damaged parts. Not damaged in shipping---- sent to me damaged. THREE parts over six weeks that I had to take time out of my day (my limited free time) to repackage and go to UPS to ship back to them.

Second part they ended up refunding me because evidently it really was No Longer Available.

This is one huge reason why Facebook and all of the 'RX-7 parts' groups can't compete with this forum in any way shape or form.

I'll stick with Mr. Ray Crowe once he's back in the game, and in the meantime Atkins and Mazdatrix are certainly great options.

This is my opinion guys. That's all, just my 2 cents ;)
