Here are some pictures taken a while back. The car is currently on the market and I'm very close to letting it go for an SC300... Someone convince me not to!

never mind convincing you not to. i want to know how you convinced yourself to do that in the first place. i dont see a gain of anything with going to an SC300, besides a backseat that most people probably still wouldnt use.

FORTUNEBV - very proper FD right here.

Hahah. Yeah, I basically want something 1j/2j powered that has more than 2 seats. The sc seats would probably be a bit more useful than FD seats I'd think lol.

purerx7 05-15-11 08:11 AM

Then get a Supra, they have a somewhat useable bakseat - I am 6 1 and fit rather uncomfortably in the back of my friends mkiv. Just my .02 but you are downgrading to a SC300.

i_CONTROL_ 05-15-11 09:44 AM

Coming from someone who sees ALOT of nicely modded sc300's ...I vote no. They're pigs (like really heavy pigs) and you wont find much use for the backseat....They're pretty reliable and like to be beat on though...

beautiful car, don't let it go for an ugly sc300 ...

per rules: my car with ugly stock wheels before it went to rebuilt last week.

Its usually the other way round, most ppl sell their sc300 to get into a FD.
I have both cars, SC300 is just a cruiser, can't handle, have a short power band, and yes you can make fast. But they are pure highway cars! I think you will miss having a FD.
Please post this discussion in another thread. The picture thread doesn't need to be bogged down with this.....

Well, I do realize that I'm downgrading a bit, but yeah I'm partly wanting the reliability. Despite being cramped, the 2 rear seats would still be there and have some use. I've fit someone behind me in my old FC's rear seat once and drove around. But then again, I'm on the shorter side.

Thanks! I don't think the sc is ugly!

Actually, most people that are into sc/soarers are bashing rx7s for being unreliable, make hardly make any horsepower/torque, bad mileage, etc. but then again, that is common from people who drive cars with piston engines. I know for a fact that i would miss my fd, that's why I haven't sold it yet! By the way, are you on Club Lexus? I think I've seen pictures of your FD on that forum in a thread about trading an sc for an FD lol.

LAST post from me about this on this thread! Sorry for disrupting this thread so much:blush:

Here's a picture of my FD rear:

The yellow car is not sporting Eurous. Those are Ronin Speedworks front wide fenders. The pearl white car looks to have Ronin Speedworks rear fenders.

My thing: ABflug Type 1 front, ABflug GTM replica sides/rear add-ons; Replica green CF sleek buckets (Chaser), RE-Amemiya lenses; Mustang Cobra R reps, 17x9+24, 17x10.5+27; Do-Luck RXB; Super Now camber bearings, Works Bell, Samberg, etc. etc.; Soon to be LPI carbon hatch with FAL lexan. (Obviously a work in progress).
