Haven't seen such a clean stock Montego Blue in like forever! Where did you find this gem and where in SoCal are you?

Thanks. I got it in Colorado.. had it shipped. The person I got it from was the 2nd owner and had it for the past 23 years..im in the South Chino/Ontario area. About 40 miles from DTLA. It's not "cherry" but I would say its in great condition. In person you can see some of the usual wear for a nearly 30 yr old car...i.e. minor rock chips. Interior is great, driver bolster has some minor wear.

Oh you're off the 60 in the IE. Too bad I'm a bit far from you in South Bay otherwise I'd love to see it in person. You're damn lucky! I almost bought a new '94 Montego Blue PEP back in the day. Btw you wanna talk about rock chips? You should check out my car hahaha (in all fairness I think my original paint is still in very good condition minus those battle scars for a 25+ year old car)

Do you get some special perks/exemptions by switching to a historic plate? I don't think it's possible to obtain one here in CA for our cars :(

Oh yes! Absolutely NO more yearly Emissions and Safety inspections!

The only negative is that you cannot drive it more than 1000 miles per year (I don't drive it that much anyways) ...but it can also be driven to and from exhibitions and educational events without any mileage limitations, and can also be driven to and from "repair facilities" within a 100 mile limit at any time, so that works out perfectly... If you know what I mean 😉👌

What is the rear trunk lip on the LO7 ?

1000 miles + unlimited "travel" miles can be a little restrictive but still awesome :) Not sure what state you're in but what did you have to supply to "prove" to them that your car qualifies as a historic vehicle?

It's a modified (To cover the whole 3rd brake light) ABFlug Ver. CV lip wing

Yeah, you wouldn't want to get Historic plates if you were daily driving the car. Any car that hits the 25 year mark can be registered as a Historic Vehicle.
You just have to supply them the application form, Paid property tax reciept, copy of title, copy of Insurance information, and a one time fee of $25.25 +$6 processing fee. If you want personalized letters/numbers for the Hist. plates, it's an annual $15 fee.

The only one I know that's still active is the one all the way down in San Clemente.

Never seen that side skirt before.

Is that the Racebred front splitter?

yep, racebred 2 inch splitter for the 99 bumpers! Worked out perfect as an undertray for my set up since the oem stuff wouldn’t clear my v mount set up. And the side skirts are shine auto reps of the jdm oem 2 piece skirts!
