New comprehensive only insurance policy (storage)

I’m asking for a little help here and hoping someone either in the industry or in the know can point me in the right direction.

Because of a clerical error (somehow I botched it) my comp policy has disappeared. Apparently it’s been without such a policy for two years. Oops.

Obviously this is bad. It’s not driven, ever as it’s motor-less so all that’s required is said comp policy.

There are a few complications, naturally.

-I live in the UK.
-I don’t have an active US license anymore.

I can probably get a new license without too much fuss, but before I go down that road, is anyone aware of any company that may cater to this kind of situation? Because of the lapse in time, Geico claimed I needed a liability policy for some number of months before converting to a comp only policy. If that’s the bullet I need to take, so be it. But the lack of license will trip it up I’m sure.

I was with Geico previously and paying something minuscule per month, maybe $17.

That said, I’m open to suggestions.

TIA

Thanks!

Looks like he's not been active on the site for 12 years!

I'll shoot him a PM...maybe he still gets notifications.

I have 1/2 my cars on comp only LOL

In va you simply call the DMV or go on line and disable the tags (pull them off the car). Call your insurance company and tell them you want comp only.

I've bought new cars and put comp only on them so not sure about your state but in VA it doesn't appear to matter how long you have owned them.

No need to whack anything or anybody, this may prove useful down the road for future searches :icon_tup:
