LED front and rear badges

I got a used rear bumper bar to play around with some idea's i had.
First i cut a M in the rear bar to house the led badge i made. Then used reversed sticky tape to cover the badge and placed it in the bumper and poured epoxy resin around the badge to get a tight fit. The badge is plastic with a chrome coat on top and then clear coated. It has two lines of leds, the red could be used as a 3 brake light. And the blue could come on when the parkers are on. And when parked the badge could slowly light up blue then red. Also When my car alarm is triggered the badges will flash red blue red blue. |
Hmm interesting. Kind of like the Vipers and how the serpent lights up with the third brake light.
If you're interested in marketing this, I would suspect a rotor-type symbol would be more universally liked. Cut out the shape and put it in there. The chrome emblem that lights up is definitely a trick concept though! Nick |
Very interesting concept. Pleasese make video once you are finished

Make the original flying M logo "99style"
I will definitely buy it and I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one. Just doing the M logo open the Market for M cars... and then you can go crazy with other brand. But I guess you know all that :gwink: Nice job , I really enjoyed DIY LED, it's art. |
