I do love the H1 slant backs but hard to justify the price point. Also with 3 kids the H1s are really impractical even if you add the middle seat in the rear.

Exactly. The color association is relevant to ones own's personal experiences and differs wildly from person to person.

Anyway, I've been curious for a while:
Are you actually looking to purchase an FD? Because I've noticed that you have made several requests for the sellers to provide information but yet you have not made a single bid. They they not meet your expectations and therefore didn't bother to place a bid? I'm not attacking, I'm simply curious if you aren't really looking then what is the motivation behind all of the inquiries.

You know me by now, and you know that I have no qualms in straight out insulting people. The only reason you think I was attempting to insulting you is because there is truth to what I said and you took offense. So if the shoe fits, wear it.

I really like Montego Blue. I think it's very 90's. The darker colors hide the body seams. And, the pearls and metallics accent the curves well.

Red is a little cliché
Black White and Silver are kinda basic
Yellow isn't my thing

But, after all this montego blue monogamy I could cope with any of the other colors.

Montego Blue is beautiful when kept pristine but IMO it is the least forgiving when it comes to wear. Ten years ago I lost my love for that color for the exact reason that it was very 90's but I've done a full circle since then. Meh go figure

I’m clearly the one with the struck nerve.... It’s an ugly color, it looks like hell on these beautiful cars. It’s like putting Dolly Parton’s rack on Carrie Underwood. It’s unnecessary and trashy. But it’s ok that you like it.

I am looking to buy an FD, but I'm just not in any rush and I'm fairly picky with my preferences (e.g., prefer R1/R2/Base over Touring to dodge the sunroof; I'm not crazy about tan interiors, etc.). I also tend to take a logical, unemotional Mr. Spock approach when it comes to car purchases. So my motivation for commenting is usually to extract key information from the seller that myself and the BaT community at large might find useful in evaluating the car and deciding how much to bid.

Thanks for that DJ! I am really laughing my *** off at you. Such a fragile individual, wow... You keep trying and trying to get to me, unfortunately it doesn't work because unlike you I don't associate my self worth with a car. But ok man get your last shot, I promise to let you have the last word.

No worries at all you guys are entertaining. Bottomline; if you pass personal judgement on someone, even if it's just car color preferences that are cough cough clearly masked as deep seated psychological disorders that only show themselves when you love or hate a color, you'll no doubt receive that persons wrath LOL.

YES to the HID bulbs, HID rear tail lights, bunny kits, etc... etc... ruin some other car not our precious FD

Yep this beautiful body makes any color look fabulous, even YELLOW!

I currently have white, red and ssm and if you parked them all together the red just stands out. Black is always a stand out as well and you can never go wrong with black or red on a sports car.

BTW the one car I want right now is a super low mileage 94/95 MB base. My 1st real deal track FD was a 94 mb base and I loved it.

How many times will Montego say he’s done responding to me? It’s a terrible tactic one can only expect from someone needing the attention that comes from driving a banana colored Mazda. I can do this for days. Keep justifying painting a car yellow and the rest of the community will continue to not want to own one....well, until it’s time to sell and it’s an actual cym.

Lol.

I actually bid on the black/red auto car as I had to travel to Charlotte this week and would have driven it home. I’m so gun shy to buy a FD right now as I really can’t read the market. I was willing to bid $10,500.00($11,100.00 with fees) and was even thinking I was crazy for going that high. Then I get out bid by 40%. It’s insane. I bought a 94 Black/red 100k mile auto with 99 front end in great shape from FL a decade ago for $4500.00. Times have changed for sure.

That's about $29,500USD with today's exchange rate. Not a bad price for an original 23,000 mile car.

Meh he's just a little sensitive that's all. He's probably still pissed off about that one time I made him look like a fool when he claimed that a DP could add 50hp and I called him on it. The worst part is that before we got into a **** fest he egged me to continue, just like now. lol

But it is all love from over here.

What alternate reality are you living in over there? Are you really claiming you are knowledgeable on these cars? Lol I thought you were just delusional about color choices.

No doubt we all worship at the same alter which is all that matters

Full exhaust and intake really does add 50hp for 5 minutes and then you have heat soak followed by a blown engine.

When it comes to trolling it's important to remain committed to ones conclusion to the bitter end LOL

Don't know if anyone has seen it yet but a 92 RHD popped up on BaT. VR on black, no sunroof, low miles, records from first owner in japan. current bid is 17k and ends in 3 days.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-mazda-rx-7-15/

I will be interesting to see what a RHD goes for at auction.

If I was desperate for good VR parts, a long block etc.... I'd pay 20k (just for the good clean parts) but I'll guess 25k on BAT. Those seats are worth an easy 1k.

I can see someone who digs a RHD car willing to pay 30k plus so it will be interesting to see what happens.
