What did you want to see? An s8 intake and an efini y-pipe? It also doesn't have a second oil cooler. No matter though, the spirit R is a silly special model. Not sufficiently different than your regular FD, and not at all different than RZ models with wheels and seats. But, godspeed to the fanbois who want to pay a premium for a numbered plaque.
A 93 FD with 10k in bolt ons will absolutely spank a spirit R

I think we'll continue to see 3 types of valuable FDs.
The stock low mileage garaged FD (most valuable)
The really well kept lightly modded (bolt ons only) FD that's been driven and maintained to perfection. Adam's car (sold for 35k with approx 75k miles on it) was probably the last one I've seen for sale other than the one I bought. I prefer these for daily driving.
The heavily modded single turbo car that's done right and not in someones back yard or at one of the hack shops. I prefer these for track cars. Haven't seen one of these for sale in years. From what I've seen in the supra world these cars can sell for as much or more than the stock low mileage variety.

Anyone see this article by Hagerty? Figured I'd share. The FD and 1st Gen RX-7 are both listed, even the 1st gen Miatas are there.

I looked at NADA on my 95 FD the other day and high retail was $30k. KBB will not give a value for the 3rd gen rx7 at this time. Its good to see NADA recognizing the increases as the values continue to rise. 2019 will be an interesting year for performance car values with the stock market volatility, interest rates and overall **** show that is our white house at the moment.

The car market and stock market have been red hot for a decade so what goes up must come down. Should be an interesting 2019 and 2020. Not that the current made for reality TV white house hasn't been fun to watch in 2017 and 18 but I think seasons 3 and 4 will be even better LOL

20 fast sale or 25 slow if the AC and PS are functional and it's running great etc... typical high dollar highly modded FD is going to be a 94 in white/SSM/black/VR with black interior that includes 20k plus in bolts ons........things like BBK, interior full of nicely thought out mods along with race seats and roll bar that are both high quality, two sets of very nice wheels/fikse/volk etc..., latest greatest turbo kit done right, possibly moton's/JRZ/penske or some high dollar coilovers etc...etc....and this is the only type of FD I'd pay big money for.
Here's another on BAT. I'll say 14,000. Hopefully the market has changed enough to make this a 20k FD but somehow I just don't think we are there yet. 5 years go this would be a 8 to 10k FD at auction so still a big price increase.

Good info
Turbo is an aspec turbo kit before he disappeared, hope he is well. V mount is with ac and p.s it is a rotary extreme unit .Missing some race seats and roll cage but these cars in Fl are in high demand and sell very well. I think its got to be somewhere in that ball park number though Fritz. That yellow one is a 93 r1 all oem with 53000 miles. It should be worth a few bucks more i am sure. Hell we have so many in this area that you can that they stock a lot of maintenance parts at your local Autozone. Love this thread and hope the cars will increase in value. Once you drive one you understand why they are increasing in price. Then there is also the increase in the price of parts. Getting more expensive to keep them on the road.

Not bad if the paint did not have any imperfections he could have gotten more. These cars are hot in this area. A RHD imported from Japan n this area is selling from 18k t0 22k all day. The demand is so high in this area that people are paying more than average fd prices. Looks like you can still get a deal in other areas of the U.S. We have a lot of Puerto Ricans and they love there rotaries. I think this might be why the prices are up on my area. If you get lucky sometimes you can be like my buddy that bought a 94 with 70,000 miles for 10000 off the origjnal orner who was no longer able to drive the car due to his age and condition. The car was a 7 of 10 as far as paint and the engine was all oem 10/10. I would have bought it just to flip it. I never get so lucky. Lol

Very impressive that 100k mile well kept stock FD (93 bb/tan) is now a 20k car.
We should see some low mileage cars selling for 50k plus in 2019.

I have been following this thread and yesterday while at my local Mazda dealer in Minnesota I saw something on the showroom floor that I recognized from here. This is also the same place I saw my first FD and the dream of owning one began. Might not see this one go back on the market. But if anyone is interested to know what type of buyer purchased it. There was also this cosmo ?
