hi members, just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with GeeSpec Automotive. Quality of work character, professionlalism? I know he works in conjunction with Palm Tree Rotary (Moe) who comes highly regarded but I cant seem to find much on Julio. I've texted him a few times seems like a he knows his stuff but I've had a couple of bad experiences and want to get my car done right.

What area of the country are you talking about?

Personally I've not heard of them but there are a number of good small rotary shops out there.

they are located in central valley California. I'm in Northern CA.

Geespec is a one man operation just starting up. He is pretty active on IG if you want to get an idea of his shop and the amount of builds he pushes out. I bought the push start plug N play setup that turns the cruise control switch (i took out the CC years ago) to a starter switch like an S2000 (amd like an S2000 you still need to insert a key into the ignition) He also sells a kit that you can delete your cig lighter and install an S2000 push start button in place. The PnP kit i got was well made and install was straight forward.


i havent heard anything negative but from the builds he has done i would take my car to his shop if i was still in the area

If you're in NorCal - the easy answer is SakeBombGarage.

SBG carries great products and offers some services but not as expansive in regards to the things I need done...they are also much much more expensive per hour than a lot of other shops.

I would go to the shop, meet the guys, and get a tour. Tell them what you are looking to have done to your car and get some pricing and timeline expectations (drop it off this date, should be ready by this date, etc.). DO NOT pay them until work is completed to your satisfaction. That's how a lot of shops have gotten in trouble and a lot of people have gotten upset - paying up front and the shop jerks them around for 3 years.

I would also probably start with some small projects to gauge the quality of their work. Don't just drop it off and tell them to do everything, that's a good way to end up with a shop queen that you'll not see again for 3 years.

Again, I don't know about the shop, you may want to post in the local forum and see if anyone knows about them. They may be amazing, but I think it's just good advice to build a relation ship of trust with a shop and not go all in from the get go.
