Fuel Tank baffle question

Hey guys, so I took my fuel pump hanger out today to upgrade the fuel pump, and noticed it was attached to a baffle with a twisted wire. The fuel level sensor is attached to the baffle separate from the hanger. The baffle is just kinda hanging out in there, is there a way to secure it or should it be secured?

looks like you may have a Feed in-tank fuel collector / swirl pot / surge tank

oh yea that looks exactly like the one I have lol so it is supposed to be cable tied then. That wasn’t very fun to undo that aspect of it to get the fuel pump out. Here’s the fuel pump that’s in it. The rubber sleeve around is on there pretty good, I haven’t made much of an effort to get it off though lol

Looks like Skyline R32 GTR motorsports pump or Sard replacement pump.
