FD headlight relay help?
My headlights are sometimes going up and not wanting to come down with the stalk switch. I’m suspecting the headlight relay. Anyone know where to buy it and what’s the part number? thx |
I’ve recently been going thru threads for a similar problem. It may not be the relay, or the combo switch (noticed your wtb ad). FWIW mine sounds like it might just poor contacts internal to the headlight assembly or limit switch issue. |
Hey Sgtblue, any idea how you isolated it to the headlight assembly or limit switch? My main issue is the lights staying up and on even after the switch is turned off. Then it decides to work for ten cycles and then it stays up again. And of course it's inconsistent and nothing new had been done to the car. I almost never in 6 years have driven at night so it might be a long standing problem that i just noticed.

I haven't personally isolated it to either. Just that my symptoms seemed similar and according to some threads I discovered, the suspect components were in the headlight assembly... not the switches inside the car. I'm not sure how closely it describes your particular issue but...

I'd just like to add this, my driver's side light was refusing to go up or down at times and it was the contacts in the headlight motor that was the issue.
