FD door sill alum scuff plates
 

Anyone have a Mazda part # ? And what year were these an option for? Steelership didn"t have a clue.

i believe they are no longer available from Mazda North America. gotta buy them second hand (may be wrong)

I don't think I could screw that in like the way the photo is, makes me cringe lol.

these haven't been available in the US for at least a decade, if not two.

You can find decent ones up for sale every so often. I bought mine last year and they were in very good shape and paid around $200 for both. I haven't installed them yet but plan on having them chromed, which looks very nice, or even black chromed, which I think would look even better.

Forgot to mention that others have stated they couldn't stomach drilling the holes either and a few people mentioned previously that premium two sided tape worked very well. I will try this first.

Just a side note, for those trying to get a nearly pristine (scratch free) pair, it seems that the driver's side is always in bad shape and the passenger side is like new. One solution to that problem is to by two pairs, one from a Japanese seller and one from a US seller. Then resell the two scratched up ones to recoup some of your expenses.
For me, I added the aluminum sill option when I bought the car new. ;) . To protect your investment try this.

You don't need to use screws. I'm using some crazy strong Velcro stuff. It's the kind where both sides is the scratchy part. I needed a way to remove them quickly and also have them secure. The passenger side one goes on top of the ecu panel so if you ever needed to access it for some reason then the sill has to come off.
