Exedy Stage 2 thick 3-Puck Clutch

Who is using this type of clutch and what is your setup and maximum numbers with it? I’ve searched so many pages trying to find the torque capacity specs but I’ve seen different numbers. Curious what’s the maximum torque it will hold.

If it says puck clutch, don't expect much life out of it. I often see people getting puck clutches that they don't really need, and then having a trashed clutch and flywheel less than 10k miles later.

All else fails check with the manufacturer. Exedy’s site says the stage 2 ‘thick’ is good to 320 ft/lbs.

Saw specs of the clutch and says 405 ft/lbs at their website.

Well...OK. You didn’t specify HD, didn’t check their website and I didn’t scroll down far enough after finding it for you. Either way I agree with arghx. Unless you’re really modified you don’t need it for a streeted car.

Just to toss my .02 in on this... I would tend to agree that puck discs are NOT for street driving. But remember, these are *sprung* not *solid* hubs - which provide a ton of forgiveness and drivability on the street. Case in point, the EXEDY Twin Discs are six puck discs - but again - sprung... and a joy to drive on the street.

I've run that same EXEDY Stage 2 three puck on an Evo VIII I used to have - and it was extremely liveable in a street car.
