Number of errors in that article, but it's to be expected.

Wonder where the "you gotta keep up with oil changes to keep a rotary happy" comes from. Yes, they are good, but that's not the real killer of the engines in these cars.

Dale

I think the mechanic quoted is worried about injecting old dirty oil which likely does cause stuck seals etc....

One of the better articles on the FD. Thanks.

Seemed more like a cut paste type article or nothing original or out of the ordinary. I expected to read about where to look for rust etc...etc...

in the case of aarkaahs red base fd... original owner had the dealer option to replace door cards..headliners.. pillars.. bins.. carpet.. seats.. divider... etc.. to tan from black?

Yes. Confirmed by fellow member j9fd3s. “so JM1FD........... is a base manual transmission, NU vintage red with E3 Tan leather. original engine was 13BE 107843. car was built 7/24/1992 and sold new 12/01/1993. its fairly late in the model run, which is good.”Leather was an option in Base models.
