Aem wideband

I have a aem wideband air fuel gauge I use on my 93 , it reads 14.9 and won't move. I have checked the wiring, it's good, its plugged in good. It will turn on and go through the motions but stays at 14.9? Any ideas ?

From what im reading, that means the chip in the gauge isnt getting a reading. Whether its unplugged, broken sensor, broken wiring, etc.

Yeah iv been trouble shooting left and right and can't figure it out yet. When the O2 sensor is unplugged it still reads 14.9? not sure if the gauge is stuck , bad sensor? I am not seeing anything wrong the wiring at the moment. My car was down over a year and now that im getting it back up and running, it's doing this. Before the gauge would read as should.

I would see if you can find someone local to swap gauges and/or sensors to see which if that helps narrow it down. Otherwise you can contact AEM and see what they suggest.

It’s most likely a bad sensor. The same thing happened to me before and once I’ve installed a new sensor, the gauge has been working fine ever since.

I would also reach out to AEM on this, give them a call. They may have some further troubleshooting steps to see if it's the sensor, the control unit, etc.

Please let us know. I am running an aem also so I am curious.

So I ordered a new Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor, plugged it in and the gauge started working again. So buying a sensor is the cheaper route then buying another gauge if anyone encounters a similar problem. Thanks again guys!
