I do a fair bit of 3d printing for work, and we're just about to get into 3d scanning.
I've made a few items for my most recent FD.
The most recent being this battery box for my PC680

Fits snugly beside the intercooler

beautiful work here, and the results look awesome (damm nice battery box, i may have to go this route, i have zero clearance with the stock battery in my car now).

it would be nice to have the door handle covers and the center console covers. and that filler neck for the coolant overflow, mine was hilariously dry rotted and brittle to the touch. i actually have a radiator hose from my honda parts stash to do the job for now.

great stuff shown here.

It would be awesome if we could get these parts into a repository or library (Google drive?) so other members could access and print them.

Remember though, these parts take hours to print, then there's hand finishing time, etc when most places are running a shop rate of around $80-160 / hour. It isn't cheap, it will almost always be cheaper for you to go buy a printer and do it yourself.

Would love to see a place to access prints and also 3D scans to better the community.

I’ve been out of the rotary world for along time and am just getting back into it, my day job involves CAD, 3D scanning etc. and am absolutely willing to move the community along by providing scans and CAD files where I can.

So if someone wanted to take the lead on a place to store and access these files for the community that would be appreciated.

Little wish list to Santa's elves - the cover for the fuse strip that is attached to the positive terminal of the battery...

Mine got lost when they overhauled the engine.. I cobbled one up, but it is ugly.
