Shifter Problem
 

I dont know if its me, but everytime i go from 2-1st gear, or 3rd-1st gear, or just play back and forth from 2-1, and 3-2-1, the shifter gets sort of stuck, or goes in hard into first, i gotts exert a good amount of effort. Has anyone experienced this, and if so, did you fix it

I dont have a manual so I don't know 100% the 7 is this way, but most cars have something in the tranny that makes it somewhat difficult to drop it into first gear while you're moving - wouldn't be good to downshift from fifth to first.

On my Supra when I downshift from any gear to first, even if I'm rolling real slow it gives me some hesitation.

It not only happens when driving, even when you just sit in the car and play with the gear, it always takes a good push or pull to get it into first. the tranny seems fine, no grinding or anything, but it just seems like something is not right there. I will be opening up the shifter assembly and posting a response
