Pettit Racing has a very good FAQ section which explains some of the most important reliability mods.

Basically:
DP
Hose job
Change oil often
Change fuel filter
Boost Gauge
Change trany and diff fluids
Flush coolant
Etc.

I dont mean that. I'm aware of maintanace. But I'm talking about hardware like radiator and things like that.

down pipe and replacing all the vacuum lines with
silicon hoses are the main reliability mods,

those are the two biggies that people are probably
referring to when they say "reliability mods"

others they might be thinking of
are replacing the AST, and getting new sparkplugs, and wires.

Thanks guys!!

One more question, I have a 91 mr2 turbo which I use as my daily driver and I was looking at purchasing a 94 rx7 just as a weekend warrior, now my question is that do most of you use your rex as a daily driver? The reason I ask is cause I see ppl on the board spending over 10k a year on there rex just to maintain it which frightens me a little.

I use my rexy as a daily driver and it has 93K+ miles on it. But, it is mostly stock now with the original engine and turbos. You should have no major problems with a stock one as long as you maintain it and do the reliability mods.

If the rest of us had your money...LOL...too bad Peter took so much of it.
