Possible fix for 2nd turbo not boosting

I just checked my turbo precontrol & wastegate control actuators from underneath the car, both of them were frozen. After playing with the rods I got them moving and went out to test the car. I still got no boost off the 2nd turbo but I am thinking that the diaphragms inside the actuators are damaged. I am going to call the warranty company tomorrow to see if thats covered. If so then hopefully I will fix my boost problem. For everyone else that is having troubles, it might be a good place to check.

How do you check them....

From under your hood you can bearly see the two rods, check right by the exhaust manifold because thats where they attatch to. If you turn your front tires all the way to the left then it gives a little better accesablity from inside the passenger wheel well. The best way to get to them is by jacking up the front of the car and removing the scuff plate. You should be able to move them by hand with a little force. Another test is to give the car WOT in neutral untill the RPMs exceed 5k (but less than redline) then let off the gas, have a friend watch to see if the actuators move. Mine would not move at all by hand untill I freed them, then they still wouldn't move in testing it. To check the diaphragms your going to need a vacuum pump... which I dont have, but I figured if the rods were stuck then the diaphragms were screwed. Also while your under the car w/o the scuff plate on you can see a lot of the vacuum hoses on the turbo system, good place to check for leaks.

This picture might give you an idea of where the two actuators are in relation to the turbos....

this is what the vac hoses for the boost controller and pre control go to correct????

yeah they should attach to each actuator

I put pressure through the actuators and they seem to be working fine, maybe I am just retarded. I still have no idea what is wrong... I just pulled half of my engine bay out trying to find this problem. I found a vacuum hose that was torn, replaced it, got all happy because I thought I fixed it, put everything back together, no difference at all. The hose I replaced was the one comming from the charge control actuator. It appears on that digram right at the top of the Y pipe and looks sorta like a 1 1/2" S shaped hose.
