Knightsport Style Front End

I posted the 99 spec front end with lower lip a few weeks ago for $250, now the guy says he can get the knightsport style front end also for $225, let me know if anyone is interested.

Who makes it?

That is the best looking bumper in my opinion but is it the real deal? I mean I don't need another fiber glass one that cracks and breaks. The real one is made of the same stuff the stock one is made of.

ejmack1 08-13-01 02:30 PM

Sorry, it is a fiberglass one, but i just thought id post it becuase it is a great deal.......

huh!?
you know someone that can get the 99 spec front with lip for $250?!
so all that would be needed is the indicator lights?

Just a warning. The only lights that fit in the KnightSports Type III bumper are the IPF ones. I used to run the KnightSports Type III bumper a year ago.

I have tried to help too many people who bought copies of this bumper try to install fog lights. They always look like crap. PIAA, CATZ, PILOT even ROADBOY do not have any applications that will fit clean.

IPF does not sell the light either. The lights in the real KnighSports Type III bumper are the same as the ones that they and RE Amemiya use in their headlight kits. Those lights are subcontracted from IPF so they cannot sell them. I tried getting them for a friend from IPFs US distributor....they couldn't get them.

There is no substitution for the real thing.

How do you like the beam pattern on the Knightsport 4 lamp (main lamps) kit? You're Chee, right?

Still counting my pennies.... 5566, 5567......

ejmack1 08-14-01 10:15 AM

oh by the way, competition brings down the prices, so if anyone wants to beat that $210 price... PLEASE DO.......

dis1 08-14-01 01:39 PM

Yes, I have heard of problems finding lights that fill fit but I talked to one guy that bought some cheap ones at WalMart or something. I'm sure they weren't that good but they looked like they fit well and he claimed he only spent around $20 each! This is second hand knowledge though so don't take my word for it.

hksfd3s 08-14-01 01:59 PM

dclin,

Yea this is Chris. I like the beam pattern on the Type IV the lights that they use on these are Catz for some reason but they are pretty cool

hksfd3s 08-14-01 02:07 PM

Actually running the Type II kit was fun. Since Knightsports uses the same lights in the bumper and for the headlight kit, my friends would tell me it was freaky having 8 beams comming up behind them at night.

Looking at the KnightSports cataloge they retail the lights for the Type III bumper at $130.00 each....you gotta by 4. Also i do not see the wire harness sold seperatly.

Contact Tony at www.rxecret7.com if you want to order KnightSports stuff. The $130 is list so he might get them cheaper.

I have 4 of those lights if someone wants to buy them off of me. They are 4" and theyre not fog lights. They're mor like driving lights. The faces are in good condition but will have to find a way to mount them( the brackets are gone). I'll sell them pretty cheap. For a pic go to the forsale page and look at my ad for the knightsport bumper.
