J/K Thanks for the info! Can you get to them without taking off the front end? |
Thanks for the info Damien.
I just bought a 138 decibel horn from Kragen. $15. The stock horn isn't loud enough. I really want someone to know I am there. Don't need any dings. Adam |
no problemo :-)

Getting better horns There are two horns on the RX-7 and if both don't work, this is an indication of a badly repaired front-end crash. When the do work, they are not all that loud. Heller produce decent horns for around $100. The easiest way to replace them is to mount them both in easy reach of the existing wiring and cut wiring to the old ones out. Leave the old horns in place |
Damian, who is Kragen and yes you can get to them easily after you take the plastic under pan off.

Kragen/Shucks is a large auto parts chain. I think they are owned by Southern Auto. There are lots of them on the west coast. I don't know about the rest of the country.

Kragen/Shucks is also Checkers :)

anyone put a semi type airhorn on their car... I'm thinking about it. I've been run off the road twice and I think this would be a good solution.
