check engine light...

i've been trying to find the solution to my loss of power at light throttle problem, but no luck yet. today, my check engine light came on while i was going about 70 on the highway. at the time, the car was slightly hesitating while maintaining speed.

long story short, i pulled over, everything appeared fine. shut it down, let sit for half a minute or so, after i started back up the light hasn't come back on, but it's still losing power if i'm barely on the throttle. wot pulls as hard as ever. only other problem is it's hard to start when the engine is hot.

it seems to be worst in the 2800 to 3000 rpm range. haven't noticed it at 4000+ rpms at all.

i'm going to be checking the tps in the next few days hopefully, but any other suggestions/solutions will be much appreciated! :)

probably an 02 sensor but you should run the code before you buy anything. Mine is doing the same thing.

run the code...

is that something i can do myself somehow? and is it possible to do it even though the check engine light no longer comes on?

this is all new to me, so be prepared for newbie questions!
