zymol works good

so i'm bored.. and just cleaned my car inside out and a little under the engine bay.. it's one of those on going cleaning area's.. the original owner seemed to neglect some of this stuff

zymol did a much better job.. i originally did the mothers 3 step on this car and it didn't bring back the luster anything compared to this. Then again maybe those 3 steps just helped remove ALOT of oxidization in the paint.

for some reason my garage lighting and the digital seems to give my car the hot pink barbie doll car looks so that's how it really is..

oww a wankle.

right click save as. Those are both exhaust free revving.. No making fun of the torpedo launchers.. not my fault the previous owner told me it was a Racing Beat exhaust system when I flew to Ga to pick it up.. nope.. i'ld say shweet Tusdo mufflers with some galvanized steel, i stole it from some guys fence, exhaust system.

that concludes your viewing pleasure.. or maybe waste of time? :D

afterburn owns my car :(

bl|nk 11-20-02 10:23 PM

after owning the car for a week.. this was the first thing to go wrong with it... and yes.. it was a pain in the ass since i had never wrenched on a Rx-7 before :)

*just mov'n images around seeing if spreading them out makes those bad boys work*

Rpeck 11-20-02 10:26 PM

Looks great! glad you fixed that coolant leak.

I'm also glad I live in CA now .. as I spent 3 years in the Rapid City area :D

They are showing just fine to me ...

BlackRx7 11-20-02 10:26 PM

I hate to say but i've never liked Rapid... it's just slummy... I went to school at BHSU in spearfish.. i loved that area.. and going for drives up spearfish canyon road and then just any where in the hills was always a treat to go play on.. to much wildlife to really open up my old car much for the safety of myself :)

it's not bad.. the heater kicks the garage up to the low 70's in moments.. and i put a TV that has cable and a VCR out there so i'm good to go in that department. To top it off i got a fridge for soda's :D

i'ld consider moving to the SD area but, that'll have to be after i'm done with school.

The series 5 red (Blaze Red) always looks kinda pink under florescent lighting, but that is the first time I have seen it look pink under flood lights

bl|nk 11-20-02 10:44 PM

The garage is lit with 3 flood lights.. two over the hood and one on the passenger side and then 6 flourecent 75watt lights :)

yes i know it's a barbie mobile

OC_ 11-20-02 10:51 PM

you think thats nice? (and it is) but have you ever tried a clay bar?

Project84 11-20-02 10:53 PM

Sweet car. Are there other Rex's out your way? I know a guy here in Rapid City and another in Spearfish. Don't see to many guys from SD on here.

bl|nk 11-20-02 10:57 PM

I know no one in the area that has a rx-7 :(

I know a couple of guys in minneapolis that have 7's .. but that's about it..

Have to remember.. combined population of ND/SD = minneapolis + suburbs.

mostly farmers and domestic owners!

I thought about clay baring it.. and probably will this spring when I can wash the car with dish soap to remove all waxes and start over on the shine.

RYLMONKEY 11-21-02 12:14 AM

WOAH i guess zymol does work! lol

Josepi 11-21-02 08:29 AM

twiztedjeckel 11-21-02 12:09 PM

looks like the car has been painted as well. may have an impact on what the Zymol does

bl|nk 11-21-02 12:15 PM

I never took any real close up pictures of it when I first got it cause it needed lots of cleaning help.. and still does.. :)

I used a very low abrasive compound by Auto Magic to prep mine then I put a final carnuba paste on to really bring up the shine.

The compound was called Awesome Gloss, it's really easy to work with (you can put it on by hand or use a wheel); I did it by hand. It's also great for buffing up the tail lenses, flash to pass, anything. I polished my master cylinder with it, the internal idiot light cluster which now has a mirror shine, and anything else I can find that needs a shine. It's got a cleaner component in it, and you can see any grease etc. that is picked up in the cloth, so you know it's working. It's great for getting out those little grey scratches around your door handle where the key knocks the paint. The stuff is fantastic, and unbelievable flexible in uses.

It's industrial stuff, the shops use it, so it's not as simple as picking it up at the local store. You may have to look for it, but it's worth it. They've got a bundle of other products to attack any other paint problems you may have.

I think the site's simply www.automagic.com

Erik 11-21-02 04:32 PM

looks great! :D

DC350 11-21-02 04:34 PM
