Zenki vs. Kouki Rotors
 

So I know for turbo models the S4 engine runs lower compression rotors and the S5 runs higher comp. i also realise that lower compression allows for higher boost levels before detonation, higher compression generates more power at lower boost levels. When comparing the two options, running turbos boosting a level matched to the compression, more for the S4 engine, and making similar power levels- What characteristics and strengths do each have. How do the powerbands and torque differ. Which setup is better if either? Comments

Higher compression provides more power off boost and gives better off-boost response. Theyll also help the turbo spool faster. So more area under the HP curve = faster car.

Downside is that, all things relative, you cant run the as much boost as the lower compression engine .

yep thats exactly right! I would go for higher compression just so you dont have to run as high of boost.

The Zenki rotors are STRONGER, so if you detonate them they won't dent in the rotor faces.

If you're going high power (i.e. over 300hp), I'd go with the lower compression stuff, as you won't feel that much of a difference at WOT.

Zenki rotors, as I've heard, also give you more low-end torqe due to them being heavier.

I seriously doubt the heavier weight actually gives you low end. It more likely simulates it when you drop the clutch on it, because you've got more mass spinning at the same speed.
