You can get a working window motor from the junkyard...

Ok so I decided to do some searching, both of my window motors are fried...

The 1989-1995 mazda mpv has the same exact window motors as our FC's

The drivers side mpv goes on the FC pass side while the pass side mpv goes onto our FC's drivers side...

Figured you guys would like to know...

Can't we also use their switches as well?

I did, but it required rewiring the connector. I forget how, but it was fairly obvious with a little thought. Pins come right out...

The switch doesn't fit exactly, it's a bit snug. But for $5, it was a good choice.

Yeah there was a thread a while ago about MPV switches fitting FC's. Im pretty shure they do.

The pass switch is PnP, Drivers side requires switching a couple of wires around.

Also in order to use the MPV window motors the shafts have to be swapped with the FCs due to the FC motor has a shorter shaft.

Just got to take off 2 c clips and the shaft is out then swap it onto the MPV window motor.

It's always nice finding cheaper vehicles to scavenge parts from. I need to get around to replacing motor/switch, this might finally get me to do it since they're from the same vehicle.

Swap was successful, other then having to swap the shafts out you need to cut the wiring off of your FC motor and put it onto the MPV motor due to the fact that the mpv motor has shorter wiring and the red and green is switched on the MPV motor.

Now I gotta hit up the junk yard again and get another motor so my drivers side window can go up and down again :)

Window was a bitch to get into the tracks, thing that helped the most was unbolting the front track bolt so I could get the window on the back track then slip on the front track and bolt it back up.
