If you're SERIOUS about it...
http://bidschoice.com/

They have a neat interface with Google langauge tools which allows you to see the website translate on the fly.
The interface is laggy, but it's not bad.

Keep in mind that the fees are SIGNIFICANT.
For a US$3 bid I won on a pair of visors, it's going to end up costing me closer to US$40 - US$50 to have it shipped to my door.
If you can swallow that kinda fees, then go for it - BidChoice makes it very convenient to obtain items from Yahoo Japan Auctions!

I would not want to bid on "large" things like wheels and body kits - although it's VERY TEMPTING - S&H back to the USA is going to cost you an arm and a leg!
I'm limiting my items to smaller stuff.
I bid on those visors just to see what the fees were going to come out to.
I'm also chasing items which I just cannot get in the US...like stupid wheel adapters that the early Volk Racing wheels were supposed to come with.
I've got a set of Volk Racing Group-C's that I bought locally for a good deal.
When I tried to mount them, the bolt pattern was WRONG, although stickers on all 4 wheels explicitly state it's a "5 x 114.3mm" bolt pattern!
I've found out that the wheels are drilled for 5 x 100, and Volk Racing used stupid 5 x 114.3 -> 5 x 100 stupid adapters to change the offsets and get them to fit specific cars.
Good idea in terms of manufacturing, as you just make all the wheels "one size", but in reality it didn't work.
So...the seller didn't give me the stupid adapters, and I got these wheels just taking up space in my closet. :(
I've been looking for over 2 years now, and the thinnest adapters on eBay were 1" - too fricken big.
This pushes the wheels out too much and fucks up the offset too much.
I just found a set on YJA that are 12mm thick - only 1/2" thick and 1/2-way thinner than anything I could find on eBay!
Sorry for the ramble...

I knew I should've wrote down the prices.
I'll do that next time with direct links so you guys can check them out for yourself...

How much is 7,800 yen? Like $78?

I should of asked that instead, my bad brah.

RETed 12-01-07 09:14 PM

Yeah, just about.
Yesterday I got charged US$1 = JPN(yen)105.
Check http://www.xe.com/ , but I dunno what exchange rate BidChoice actually uses.

Those smoked lenses are about US$30.
The retail on them are about US$70.
By the time you ship them through BidChoice, you're going to end up paying full retail...

Hmmh, can't seem to get the bidschoice section to work.

At least the automotive part. I'll see if I can figure this out.

If anyone need help getting parts from Japan, we offer Yahoo auction importing services. Just shoot me an email or pm if interested. :)

djmtsu 12-03-07 12:13 PM

VHT Nightshade will get you the same looking lenses. At a fraction of the price. FTW.
