So yeah, was browsing ebay and stumbled upon this auction. I'm trying to find a FMIC for my s4 TII and was wondering if anyone has any experience using this kit...?

It seems like a decent price... What's the story on the s5 AFM etc.? Anyone want to give me an idea of what's going on with this kit?

Those are quite good intercoolers that require minimal cutting and relocation of enginebay components. I've installed a few of them and found them to work quite well yet not be obvious from the outside of the car or impede proper cooling of oil and water.

As it states the setup is made for s5 cars but would work on s4 with minimal or no modification, which is why the s5 afm is present. It's apparently a common modification in japan to relocate the afm to just after the FMIC. If installed, you'd see it right above the IC, beside the hood latch. You could use a simple cone filter adaptor to mount an s4 afm there, or just run it in front of the turbo as normal...however then you'd need a piece of filler pipe to take the place of the afm.

That's not a bad price on that IC setup provided everything is there...looks like it is, and that core is in like-new condition.

I had one, and loved it. poeple have made 400+ RWHP with those. It's a great piece of work.

That's alot of piping and alot of bends,the old school hks one was was a little nicer since it at least included a cast aluminum TB elbow enlike the greddy which uses the stock TB elbow and a 180 degree u-bend.If you are going to spend $600 plus I would look at a different option with shorter piping and less bends.

 

The IC inlets and outlets, the turbo and the throttlebody are all located in the same spots with the REamemiya, greddy, and hks oldschool kits, with only slight variation. IT'll be the same number of bends regardless.
