Worthwile N/a to TII question.

Alright, right now I have an 86 base model Rx7 sitting in my front yard, needs an engine. Thing is, I can get a hold of a COMPLETE running T2, not just the motor, but the whole car, for 500$ from a friend. The car cant be driven though. So, would it be worth it to just take the whole long block out of the TII and put it in the 86, or just get a regular N/A engine. I want to be able to fly with the turbo, but then again i am worried about the decreased engine life and more probs. cuz of the turbo. What do you guys think?

Whats wrong witht he complete running T2? If its in perfect shape, sell your motorless car to someoen who wants a project, and buy the TII

It has some pretty bad body damage.

Bigretardhead 05-20-03 08:18 PM

how bad?

Probably bad enough to not be safe, from what he's saying. If you can get it, go for it. If it runs, just swap over all the parts (ECU, fuel pump, hood, etc.). It'll be a bit of a project, but it can be done.

Yea, its pretty bad, whats left of it it pretty much destroyed. So is it good to put the turbo in? I mean, how much more reliable is the N/A over the turbo?

welp all non-turbos r usaully more reliable id buy the T2 and try to swap motors!! but its up to u really!! PEACE!!
