ill be getting an Apexi SAFC 2 for my 91 n/a.

but just to satisfy my curiousity, is going to a microtech worth it for my car?

That's a price/performance/preference question.
The big deal with a freestanding ECU - loosing the AFM.

Yeah I'm wondering this too. I've seen quite a few Microtech units going for $650 used. Thats a great price, and my wiring harness is going to shit. This would take care of that problem too. Hmmmm....

Oh midnight7...you have a GXL? I would say that you don't need to waste money on a stand alone or an S-AFC unless you want to lean it out just a bit to gain a little power.

why is that a big deal? Just asking

Because the AFM is a big restriction on a fully modded N/a.

Lol...if you own a rotary, don't get those two mixed up! And yes...you are correct.
