WORST fuel clog/contamination ever!!

In about 1 hour I will be uploading a series of pictures that will relay WHY it is recommended that if i car has been sitting for any period of time to remove the tank and flush the ENTIRE fuel system.

My car was running like crap all sluggish and idled wierd. Well I finally decided to do something about it. I started off by the old faithful Compression test/ Came back great!! 95-95-95 on the front 100-100-100 on the rear!! I was shocked considering the motor has about 86k miles on it. So I checked and set all the sensors to OEM standard. It took a while but I think it will pay off. Still the car ran like ass.

Next I removed the UIM to have the injectors cleaned. WOW! One of the primaries was so clogged (rust and silt) that there is no way that the injector was firing at all. SO I removed all the injectors and had them cleaned. I then proceeded to flush the fuel system in the engine bay using a mixture of lucas injector cleaner and just regular 87 octaine fuel. I purchased a new fuel filter and sock for the pump and proceeded to flush the remainder of the fuel system. When I removed the fuel pump, much to my dismay, I realized that the tank would need to be drained and flushed. THe "sock" on the fuel pump was full of rust and silt and was swolen up like a balloon. All in all I am finishing up the job right now and will be posting pictures shortly...

ENJOY!
